TSK – CHILE

We designed this project of 5 power plants providing 475 MW of backup power for the Chilean National Grid. It included the supply of 30 modular units: 11 Low Voltage and 19 Medium Voltage.

This facility increased the backup capacity and stabilised the Andean country’s grid and was equipped with 264 motors. The 5 plants are located in:

• Rated power: 100 MW.
• Llanos Blancos. Rated power: 150 MW
• Rated power: 75 MW
• Los Cóndores. Rated power: 100 MW
• San Javier. Rated power: 50 MW

A total of 1500 m² in modular units, with 320 GE Secogear cells, motor control panels, air-conditioning, NFPA compliance extinguishing systems.

All the units were approved by the customer at our factory, which resulted in significant savings in the final assembly on site and avoided breakdown issues that are more difficult to solve in destination countries.

An iQuord technical team was sent to Chile to provide assistance, assembly supervision, and oversee the commissioning of the units.
